Margaret, what a wonderful and insightful project for the good of all involved! I marveled at you and your peers, still experiencing a profound sense of loss, being able to become open to those around them and peck holes in the shielding shell of seclusion to connect. Both with their inner selves, then the members of the group.
The process reminded me of Jesus, after his crucifixion, being interred in the sepulcher, sealed with the stone. His reemergence and resumption of contact with his disciples and other followers was empowering to them.
What a lovely story Margaret. It’s always amazing how these simple acts of creating and sharing create an empathetic connection — a kind of gale-force love.
This sounds to have been a wonderful series of workshops Margaret. “She learned through observing herself, how important it was to go out ‘fishing’ for happiness. This is a wonderfully active way of being in the world and my own experience, of writing in Weather Report each day, of deliberately noticing beauty has been revelatory in terms of its positive effect on how I experience my ‘ordinary’ days.” You won’t be surprised that this speaks to me. I was never a diary writer, but I can’t help but wonder how valuable it might have been to have had this explained earlier in life.
Love the back story and love Weather Report Margaret. I recently gifted it to a client who is going through a difficult separation and divorce. Weather Report is a healing journal.
Hi Margaret, what an inspiring and mindful project. I really connect with noticing beauty and write on it too. I believe in the power of noticing, gratitude and having agency in life. Just found your stack tonight, good to connect here. I'll read further again.
A remarkable story indeed! Thank you for sharing Margaret. 💜

Thank you for your response Michela. Many things might ideally have begun earlier in life but which of us have had an ‘ideal’ life?
